The problem of sin is less understood by many, including religious leaders. That is the reason why people promote sin, and some see no wrong in sinful words, thoughts, and actions, even in religious circles.
To give an example that you can relate to or checkup, social media is replete with the ugly expressions of the state of the information that users have concerning this all-important subject. People post content that exemplify the moral bankruptcy of their souls. They post leud content. They post content to promote self and satisfy their lust. They demean and assassinate the character of others. They commit sin with their content.
Sin ruins. Sin corrupts. Sin re-calibrates the mind. There are times when a sinner doen’t even know that they are committing sin. But that doesn’t erase the fact. They need the light of the Saviour to be flickered on their soul to reveal the ugly nature and work of sin in their life. That is one of the mysteries of that monster called sin.
‘From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in it; but wounds, and bruises, and putrifying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment’ (Isaiah 1:6). This is the best description of the soul that is living in sin. That soul has ‘putrefying’ sores all over their body. There is no soundness anywhere near it.
Sin should not be pampered. We weren’t created to live in, or adore, sin. God doesn’t condone sin. He will punish it in the fires of hell. Satan brought it and intended to drag men to hell with it. The Son of God was manifested that He might destroy sin. Come to Him and ask Him to help you overcome sin. Confess every known sin to God asking Him to forgive you for everyone of them and ask Jesus to come into your life to become your Lord and personal Savour.
