Evangelism isn’t just for pastors and preachers. It’s for every single member of the body of Christ. We all have a role to play in snatching souls from the clutches of darkness. So let’s end spectator Christianity and start actively sharing the good news of Jesus with those around us.
And what is this good news? It’s the fact that Christ died for our sins and rose again, offering us eternal life and freedom from the grip of sin. The gospel is the most important message in the world, and it’s up to us to share it with others.
But how do we do that? We preach with our lives and our lips. We share the message from the pulpit, but also from our workplaces, schools, and communities. We must be intentional about our witness and our walk, and give people the opportunity to make the life-changing choice to follow Jesus.
Evangelism isn’t just about saving souls. It’s about equipping believers to do the work of the ministry, to disciple new converts, and to be fishers of men. So let’s pull the net carefully and prayerfully, as led by the Holy Spirit, and expect to catch fish.
This year, let’s commit to evangelism with all our hearts. Let’s make specific and intentional plans to share the gospel, whether it’s in our schools, markets, neighborhoods, or other groups. Let’s be willing to win the lost at any cost, knowing that our efforts will save souls, populate heaven, set the body of Christ on fire, and unite believers. Are you with me?
