The steps that cover a great distance are taken in a few paces over time. Great things happen when we persevere in taking small steps toward a goal.
After the encounter that Apostle Paul had with Jesus on the way to Damascus, he began to experience God in every sense of the Word as he related to him routinely. And he grew until he became a great Christian and Minister of Jesus Christ. The secret of greatness is in the little steps that you take daily.
What little steps do you take in your spiritual life on a daily basis?
Do you pray fervently, every day?
Do you study God’s Word on a daily basis?
Do you obey God swiftly?
Do you attend the fellowship of God’s people regularly?
Do you talk to others about Jesus regularly?
Do you fast and pray regularly?
What are you doing to further your spiritual growth and intimacy with God?
What are you doing for God?
Those little steps would compound your growth in Christ and mold you into the person that God created you to be.
Little steps matter!
The first step to take, though, is recognising your need for a Saviour and surrendering completely to His Lordship. That Saviour is Jesus Christ. He died for you over 2000 years ago. He died so you could be saved from sin and its consequences. He died so you could live life to the fullest.
Come to God today in humility, asking for His forgiveness for all your sins and inviting Jesus Christ into your life to become your Lord and personal Saviour.
After this first step. Begin to engage in the other steps that we talked about earlier and your growth in Christ would be inevitable.
Peace.
