The Holy Spirit is the third person in the trinity (the God Head). He is equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is also called the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth, the Spirit of the Living God, the Spirit of your Father, the Comforter, the Spirit of Holiness, the Spirit of Life, the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Christ, the Eternal Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not only a person. He is a Divine Being. He is God. Like God, He has an eternal nature. He is capable of being everywhere at one time, He knows all things, and He has power to do anything.
The Holy Spirit is a person who possesses great authority and power. He is eminently worthy of the respect and honour we reserve for Almighty God. He possesses the basic characteristics of a personality – ability to think and reason, ability to feel things, and the capacity of choice and decision. He can comfort, think, speak, exercise His will, forbid, and work miracles.
The Holy Spirit is a person. He is God. Consequently, He is eternal, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient, and holy. He seeks to get hold of us and use us. The Holy Spirit is a divine personality we must reverence, respect, honour, worship, fellowship with and listen to.
